Sugar is the Enemy

Sugar is a toxin to the human body. Each year in the United States, sugar kills more people than every hard drug combined. This may seem tough to fully comprehend because there is sugar in almost everything we consume. It is recommended that as a female you consume no more than 25 grams of added sugar a day. As a male, no more than 37 grams. This will help keep your blood sugar in a normal range. Another smart health tip to follow is; never consume a single product that contains over 10 grams of added sugar. Staying under your daily sugar intake will allow you to be in control of the fight against this toxin.

  1. This is a very good point about sugar. Sugar is something that everyone does seem to over look. It has become so common that a lot people have got used to consuming it. It truly is bad for our bodies and can cause harm if consumed in large amounts. I think there should be more messages out there for how bad sugar truly is for our bodies.

  2. Sugar is definitely something that is overlooked when it comes to unhealthy diets. Many people focus on their calorie count to determine how healthy their diet is, but looking at what you actually are consuming is a major step. Things like sugar and sodium can have drastic effects on our bodies, and they're both found in most things we eat! Taking control of your sugar intake is a hard responsibility, but can have huge rewards in the end!
